Sponge Cake

Ingredients:

225g of self-raising flour
225g of butter at room temperature
225g of sugar
4 eggs
3 tablespoons of milk

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven to Gas mark 6 for 15 minutes. Grease the tin with butter.

2. Shift the flour into a bowl and add the butter and sugar.

3. Use an electric mixer to beat the mixture until light and fluffy.

4. Beat the eggs until the mixture is like foam.

5. Now add the egg mixture with the flour mixture with the help of a spatula.

6. Add milk and mix well, then pour it into the prepared tin.

7. Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes, or until a skewer inserted in the middle comes out clean.

8. Leave it to cool and then take it out on a wire rack.
