“Savor the Tang: Easy Aloo Bukhara Chutney Recipe”

Ingredients:

  • 500g Aloo Bukhara (dried plums), pitted (overnight soaked)
  • 4 cup water
  • 1 kg Sugar
  • 1/4 tsp Orange food colour
  • 1/2 tsp black salt
  • 1/2 black pepper powder
  • 5 pcs green cardemom powder
  • 1/4 tsp Dried ginger / soonth
  • 100g Almonds (overnight soaked and peeled)

Culinary Process:

  1. In a saucepan, combine the dried plums and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until the plums are soft and tender. Add food colour to give it a nice colour.
  2. Add sugar and mix well with small spoon so that plums do not break.
  3. Then add cardemom, black pepper and dried ginger(soonth) powder. let it boil for sometime.
  4. Now add almonds and cook on low heat for 5-10 minutes.
  5. Once the sauce is nice and thick turn the flame off. Sauce is ready.
  6. Store it in an air tight jar and keep it in the fridge.

Tip:

Do not use a new spoon every time. Keep a steel spoon inside the jar.
