Daal Kachori

Ingredients For Dough:

  • 2 Cups Plain Flour
  • 2 tbsp Semolina (sooji)
  • 6 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tsp Salt

Take all ingredients in a bowl and make a soft dough. Cover and set aside.

For Filling:

  • 1 Cup Chana Daal Boiled
  • 1 tsp Garlic paste
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tbsp Red chillies crushed
  • 1 tsp Turmeric
  • 1 tbsp Cumin
  • 1 tbsp Coriander
  • 1 medium chopped Onion

Culinary Process:

  • In a pan take oil and Saute onion for 1 minute.
  • Then add ginger and garlic paste and saute for 2 minutes.
  • Then add channa dall, crushed chillies, turmeric, salt, cumin, coriander, and 1 cup of water and cook on low flame for 10 minutes. Turn off the flame and let it cool down.
  • Once cooled down mash it with a spoon.
  • Make small balls with dough and add 1 and half tbsp of filling and then make a ball again.
  • Roll a bit like a cookie.
  • Then fry or bake in the oven.
  • Serve with sauce.
